1971: Michael Strahan, a former National Football League defensive end who played his entire career for the New York Giants, is born in Houston, Texas. Strahan set the record for the most sacks in a single season during the 2002 season and won a Super Bowl in his final year, the 2007-08 season. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2014.
