1946: Singer Lesley Gore, best known for such pop hits as "It's My Party," "Judy's Turn to Cry" and "You Don't Own Me," is born Lesley Sue Goldstein in New York City. She died of lung cancer at the age of 68 on Feb. 16, 2015.
