2003: Country music singer-songwriter June Carter Cash, a member of the Carter Family and the second wife of singer Johnny Cash, dies of complications following heart-valve replacement surgery at the age of 73 in Nashville, Tennessee. She is best known for songs such as "Juke Box Blues" and "Jackson," the Grammy-winning No. 2 country hit duet with her husband.
