1969: Filmmaker Wes Anderson, best known for directing movies such as "Rushmore," "The Royal Tenenbaums," "Moonrise Kingdom" and "The Grand Budapest Hotel," is born in Houston, Texas. Anderson has earned Oscar nominations for Best Animated Feature for "Fantastic Mr. Fox" and Best Original Screenplay for "The Royal Tenenbaums," "Moonrise Kingdom" and "The Grand Budapest Hotel," the last of which also earned him nominations for Best Director and Best Picture.
