1950: Pro Football Hall of Fame full back Franco Harris, who played all but one year of his 13-year career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, is born in Fort Dix, New Jersey. A nine-time Pro Bowl selection and the 1972 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, he won four Super Bowl titles with the Steelers, including winning MVP honors in Super Bowl IX in 1975.
