1962: Basketball Hall of Fame point guard John Stockton, who set NBA records for most career assists and steals during his 19-year career with the Utah Jazz, is born in Spokane, Wash. A 10-time NBA All-Star, Stockton was also a member of the "Dream Team," winning a gold medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. He won another gold medal with Team USA at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Ga.
