2008: Margaret Truman, a singer, writer and the daughter of President Harry S. Truman, dies at the age of 83 in Chicago, Illinois. Truman was the successful author of a series of murder mysteries and a number of works on U.S. first ladies and presidential families, including a biography of her father.
