1938: Singer Etta James, known for hits such as "Roll With Me, Henry," "At Last," "Tell Mama," "Something's Got a Hold on Me" and "I'd Rather Go Blind," is born in Los Angeles, Calif. She died of leukemia at age 93 on Jan. 20, 2012.
