1963: Film director Steven Soderbergh, best known for movies such as "Out of Sight," "Erin Brockovich," "Traffic," "Ocean's Eleven," "Sex, Lies, and Videotape" and "Magic Mike," is born in Atlanta, Georgia. He received an Oscar for Best Director in 2001 in for "Traffic."
