1956: Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash get together for an impromptu jam at Sun Studios in Memphis, Tennessee, for the first and last time in history. The following day the Memphis Press-Scimitar newspaper would describe the four singers as the "Million Dollar Quartet," a name that stuck.
