1948: Singer-songwriter Donna Summer, known for her 1970s disco anthems like "Last Dance" and "I Feel Love," is born in Boston, Mass. Summer, who died of lung cancer at age 63 on May 17, 2012, was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
