'Obama's adopted son' tries to drain bank account
Ault man said the President, First Lady recently adopted him
A man claiming to be the Obamas' recently adopted son walked into a bank and requested access to Michelle Obama's bank account.
29-year-old Jonnie Fletcher Gooden Jr. went to a Chase Bank location in Bryan, TX and asked to withdraw money from Michelle Obama's checking account, according to the Houston Chronicle. A bank employee called police to report a suspicious customer. Gooden Jr. remained at the bank even though the bank advised him that there was no such account.
When police arrived to question the man, he told them that "Mrs. Obama contacted him through Facebook and adopted him, and he was now trying to get money out of her bank account," investigators said.
A criminal background check revealed that Gooden Jr. had outstanding warrants for resisting arrest and assault on a public servant. Police also found a bag of marijuana in the suspect's shorts pocket, resulting in the possession of marijuana charge.
