The Vernon County Sheriff says a 16 year old girl suffered possible minor injuries in a two vehicle crash on Saturday afternoon.
Authorities say the teenager was driving westbound on Highway 56 at around 1 p.m near Springville Road. Another car pulled out in front of her and headed in the same direction. The teenager tried passing on the left, but the other car then turned left into a driveway, and hit the rear corner of the teen's vehicle. The teenager's airbags went off, and she refused medical treatment for possible minor injuries.
The teen says she didn't see the other car's turn signal or brake lights, and the Vernon County Sheriff says it appears the vehicle's electrical system was malfunctioning.
The crash is under investigation.
