LANSING, Iowa (WKBT) -

No people were hurt in a structure fire early Sunday in Lansing, Iowa.

According to the Allamakee County Sheriff's office, just after 1 a.m., Lansing firefighters were called to the blaze 221 Main St.

The fire was contained to the lower level and basement of a former construction business, but the upstairs apartments sustained heavy smoke damage.

The New Albin, Waukon, and Harpers Ferry fire departments, as well as Lansing ambulance and police, and the Allamakee County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
