The scariest night of the year is coming a little early on La Crosse's northside.
The public library's annual "Nightmare on Kane Street" takes place Friday night from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30p.m. It features music, games, and treats for people of all ages, including a haunted house.
As many as 800 people are expected to attend the Grimm's Fairy Tales themed evening.
"Grimm's Fairy Tales gets people into our collection, gets them thinking about who could I be from Grimm's Fairy Tales and there are so many excellent characters who will be here," said Lois Gilbert, the north and south branch manager"
"Nightmare on Kane Street" is free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to dress up.
