Tarragon Almond Green Beans

Getting started Equipment you will need: cutting board/knife, saucepan with cover, medium skillet, colander stirring, spoon Do right away when you get home: Action step 1
Action 1 1/2 lbs. fresh green beans 1 clove garlic 1/3 cup green onions 2 tsp. olive oil 1. Trim ends off beans and slice. Mince garlic and slice onions. Place green beans in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil. Cook, uncovered, for 8 to 10 minutes or until tender. Meanwhile, sauté onions and garlic in oil in a medium skillet until onions are tender.
1 1/2 tsp. fresh tarragon
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
4 tsp. sugar 2. Mince tarragon. Add ingredients to saucepan. Bring to a boil; cook until liquid is reduced by half. Drain beans and add to onion mixture. Cook and stir until heated through. 1/4 cup sliced almonds 3. Sprinkle beans with almonds.
