Roasted Sweet Potato Fries
Makes 4 servings
Getting started Equipment you will need: baking sheet , cutting board/knife, large bowl, metal spatula Preheat oven to 450° Do right away when you get home: Action step 1
Ingredients
2 large sweet potatoes
1 Tbsp. + ½ tsp. canola oil
½ tsp. salt
Pinch of cayenne pepper
Action:
1. Peel and cut into wedges.
2. Toss wedges with ingredients in a large bowl. Spread wedges out on a baking sheet. Bake until browned and tender, turning once, for about 20 minutes.
Suggested Side Items: Parmesan-Crusted Chicken Tenders (August 28th recipe) and steamed broccoli
Tips: If cut into small slices, such as shoe-string cut, shorten cooking time to approximately 6 to 7 minutes on each side. Experiment with different spices such as garlic powder, cumin, and paprika.
