A new look is coming to part of the village of Holmen.

The village bought 8.5 acres of property between Highway 35 and Country Road DH over the past year and half. Now board members are looking to develop the area.

They are considering including green space, trails, parking, a new village hall, and a new police station.

And after looking over results from a village-wide survey, a new library is just about guaranteed. "There's a lot of consensus that people are very much in favor of the library and they think we should use the rest of the property for other use for the village," said Village President Nancy Proctor.

The board is considering five options.

Proctor expects ground to be broken some time late fall or early spring.
