Keeping it real for the parents
Sometimes we only see the happy pictures on facebook. Today I thought I should share pictures from the 2nd day of school and keep it real for those tired parents out there.

This is our friend Herman who is from South Africa.This is his second time visiting the US/Canada and his first time making a snow angel! He did have shorts packed but opted for the coveralls on this day because, YES it was cold!
We like to watch small birds at feeders outside our window. On a very cold afternoon this past week, a young Cooper's Hawk took advantage of the situation. We've only seen this once before.

Grandson Will 7 months old
We took our kids (Kenzie-3 and Colin-1) to the mall for trick or treating last weekend. We had them in their his and hers car strollers. Colin actually just turned 1 that day and was a fun way to celebrate!

We've been watching these baby robins since they were eggs. Mom and dad built the nest under an overhang on top of our dog kennel. The nest was empty later this same day, at 12 days old.
