A 50-year-old man was severely burned after a meth lab exploded Sunday around 3:40 p.m. in Houston County.
The Houston County Sheriff’s Office says a search warrant was executed and evidence showed there was an active meth lab.
Authorities did not release where the incident occurred or the name of the victim/suspect due to an on-going criminal investigation. He was seeking medical treatment in La Crosse and was later transported to a burn center for treatment, the sheriff’s office said.
The Caledonia Ambulance and Fire Department, the Winona County Sheriff’s Office and the Southeast Minnesota Gang and Narcotic Task Force assisted the Houston County Sheriff’s Office with this incident.
