The man convicted in a Tomah hotel homicide will spend the rest of his life in prison.
A Monroe Co. judge sentenced 27-year-old Zachary Davis Thursday afternoon to life in prison without the possibility of extended supervision.
In September, a jury convicted Davis of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, Armed Robbery with Use of Force, and Driving or Operating a Vehicle without consent.
Prosecutors say Davis and his significant other, Sebastian Martinez, killed 43-year-old Derek Magnuson in a hotel room the three were sharing in March of 2015.
After the homicide, Davis and Martinez stole Magnuson's wallet and wiped the hotel room of finger prints before driving away.
They were eventually arrested in Tennessee.
