MILWAUKEE (AP) -

A Milwaukee man is charged with sending threatening and obscene tweets to Gov. Scott Walker's adult son.

A criminal complaint says the 31-year-old man told investigators he doesn't know Matthew Walker, but directed the tweets to him because he dislikes the governor.

The complaint says the 20-year-old Marquette student reported the tweets to the law enforcement officer in charge of protecting him because he feared for his safety.

Prosecutors say the defendant sent 36 tweets to Matthew Walker's account — tweets that included racial slurs, obscene remarks and a physical threat.

The man is charged with four misdemeanor counts of sending threatening or obscene computer messages.
