ONLASKA, WI -

Learning how to drive can be difficult, especially with so many distractions.

Onalaska and Holmen School districts are taking part in Celebrate My Drive to help new drivers stay focused on the road.

It's a community-wide effort sponsored by State Farm.

The two districts are trying to be in the top 100 schools in the nation by raising money through safe driving pledges.

As part of the campaign, State Farm hosted a workshop at Onalaska High School on Saturday.

The goal is to give new drivers a chance to see how easy it is to be distracted behind the wheel.

"What we are doing is trying to not to berate them a little bit but try to really show in a fun way how distracting it truly is. So we are doing different games while they are practicing their driving or doing texting or other things that distract you and show you how that truly impacts you and then you kind of get a visual of how it will impact you on the road as well," said State Farm insurance agent Karri Bandell.

The two schools in the nation to raise the most money through safe driving pledges will get a private concert from Kelly Clarkson.
