The La Crosse Public Library is making sure kids have a new book this holiday season. They've set up a caring tree at all three library locations.
The trees have 900 tags on them. Each tag has suggested books to buy for all age groups. People can also drop off gift cards that will be used to buy books.
Organizers say it will benefit kids from newborns to 18 years old. "It's a way to put great new books into the hands of children and teenagers in the community, the Salvation Army distributes the books and we gather the books," said Marge Loch-Wouters from the library.
The drive runs through December 10th.
The books will be given out during a distribution party at the Salvation Army.
