A senior yearbook picture can be a lasting memory for many students, but also a costly one.
Now, the La Crosse School District is helping seniors create that lasting memory.
The district is helping any students who might not be able to afford the cost by asking local photographers to volunteer their time to take pictures.
Students will be given a disk with the pictures for them to choose from and a set of prints. "We had a student that came in and you know she did not have a senior picture and unfortunately we couldn't find them. So she ended last minute with a picture taken off her cell phone. Obviously very poor quality. And we said you know, we have to be able to do something to help kids that for what reason can't afford to take senior pictures," said Central Associate Principal Troy McDonald.
The district is still looking for hair stylists and make up artists. You can call the district if you want to help out.
