LA CROSSE, Wis. -

Rotarians are wrapping up 32,000 pieces of fruit and a half a ton of peanuts.

Every year the La Crosse Rotary Club sells hundreds of fruit baskets.

It's the largest annual fundraiser.

Starting early Saturday morning, they were putting together about 2,000 baskets on their way to a $20,000 goal.

All of the fruit is grown here in the U.S.

They believe the fundraiser is a win-win for the community.

"It's a healthy alternative as a Christmas gift, and all the dollars that the project raise go right here for community benefit," said Rotary Club member David Amborn.

Once the assembly line gets going, they can put together a basket every six seconds.
