City of La Crosse Mayor Tim Kabat is asking residents to participate in the first online Community-Wide Needs Survey.
The survey will help the City decide how to prioritize its funds for housing, economic development, and services.
“This is a great and exciting opportunity for La Crosse residents to have their voices heard,” Mayor Kabat said in a news release. “La Crosse is a unique in that we are trying to make improvements on every level from neighborhoods to our downtown- this is a platform for citizens to voice their option and influence the decisions we make."
The results of the survey will help the City decide how to use its yearly allocation from Housing and Urban Development of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds.
The Community-Wide Needs Survey is available on the city’s homepage, www.cityoflacrosse.org or you can access it directly here. A printed copy of the survey will also be available at the City Planning Department, on the 3rd floor of City Hall.
Recommendations based on the results of the Survey will be presented to the City Council in the fall of 2014.
In August, Onalaska residents their City a "good" rating for working on behalf of the community, according to the Onalaska 2014 Community survey results. They provided feedback on what areas the City should improve and focus on in the future. 26945844
