La Crosse police officers are wearing pink t-shirts this week in support of Justice For a Cure.
The organization helps raise money and awareness for breast cancer research and is in a partnership with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
It was started by a former Dane County deputy who was diagnosed with breast cancer. La Crosse officers purchased the shirts they are wearing with the money going to Justice For a Cure.
"As a department we like being involved in community efforts and community events, this is a great organization, hopefully it's going to turn in to a very nice large organization,” said La Crosse Police Lieutenant Chuck Frandsen.
The department is also holding a fundraiser at Sloopy’s in La Crosse Thursday from 5-9 p.m. Food proceeds from the event will benefit Justice For a Cure.
