A La Crosse man arrested in a drug raid on April 19 was indicted in federal court Thursday.
Jonathan Banaszkiewicz, 30, was one of two men arrested at a home on the 600 block of Jackson Street.
Police found illegal drugs on him during the arrest and recovered a .22 caliber pistol he ditched while running from police. Police executed a search warrant on the home and found marijuana, pills and cash.
Banaszkiewicz was charged with distributing methamphetamine and possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute. The federal indictment also charges Banaszkiewicz with possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
If convicted, Banaszkiewicz faces a maximum of 20 years in federal prison on each drug charge and 10 years on the felon in possession of a firearm charge.
