La Crosse Firefighters rescued a stranded hiker from the bluff Wednesday afternoon, their fourth rescue since June.
They were looking for a hiker who was disoriented while hiking in an area he was allowed to be in.
The La Crosse Fire Department says the hiker called 911 at about 2:20 p.m. after becoming disoriented before his phone quit working. Crews searched the bluff and found him about 40 minutes later.
He was lowered to a clearing, then stabilized for a final hike down the bluff.
He was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
