LA CROSSE, Wis. -

The La Crosse city council is considering updating the city's seal, which is used across letterheads, on business cards, and featured throughout City Hall.

Right now, it showcases a train and a paddlewheel boat in the natural landscape, but a former council member says it leaves out the fact that we have an airport and an airplane should be represented.

"It really shows La Crosse that we do have all the forms of transportation, and not every place has that, and I think it's really unique for La Crosse," said Former City Council Member John Satory.

Satory wants to put the plane in the top left corner, just above the bluffs.

He says it will likely be rolled out whenever items with the seal need to be replaced and is not expecting it to add an extra cost to the city.
