LA CROSSE, Wis. -

If you fly in and out of the La Crosse airport, you might notice a few changes in the coming months.

Pavement repairs will soon get underway on the longest runway. Also, the terminal will see some roof, window, and door replacement, as well as some new landscaping.

Most of this is made possible through federal grants, and nearly $200,000 is coming from the state.

"Generally when we pursue an airport project, we receive about 90% of the project in federal funds, the state usually matches 50-50 of the remaining local share with the rest of the local share is actually airport funds, not taxpayer funds," said Airport Manager Clinton Torp.

The projects are expected to start by early September and finish a month or two later.
