LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) -

You might have noticed La Crosse's downtown is crazier than usual.

The annual Krazy Daze kicked off Thursday morning in downtown La Crosse.

It's a chance for people to get to know their local businesses while finding great deals. Many of the downtown stores are holding sidewalk sales over the next few days and people were out early taking advantage of the sidewalk deals.

Organizers say the three day celebration is great way to have a little fun while supporting your local businesses.

"It's a nice opportunity for retailers to move out some of their older merchandise and bring in new things for the fall. Also, it's just a fun thing for the community to come down and get great savings and have some fun with all the merchants," said Downtown Mainstreet Executive Director Robin Moses.

There was live music, sidewalk art, and even a street dance performed at 7 p.m. on Friday. Krazy Daze runs through Saturday.
