A jury in Monroe County returned three guilty verdicts Thursday afternoon in the Zachary Davis homicide trial.
The jury convicted the 27-year-old Davis of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, Armed Robbery with Use of Force, and Driving or Operating a Vehicle without consent.
Davis was on trial for the death of 43-year-old Derek Magnuson at a Tomah motel in March of 2015.
Prosecutors argued Davis and his significant other, Sebastian Martinez, killed Magnuson in a hotel room the three were sharing.
Davis took the stand in his own defense during the trial and claimed he killed Magnuson in self defense. He says he only attacked Magnuson after he tried to assault Martinez while he was in the shower.
After the homicide, Davis and Martinez stole Magnuson's wallet and wiped the hotel room of finger prints before driving away.
They were eventually arrested in Tennessee.
Davis faces life in prison at sentencing.
