The state Department of Justice says a jury has convicted a Big Flats man of killing his mother two years ago and using her checking accounts and credit cards.

An Adams County jury found 61-year-old Larry Clark guilty Friday of first-degree intentional homicide, hiding a corpse, two counts of uttering a forgery, identity theft and two counts of false information on a missing person.

Prosecutors accused Clark of shooting 79-year-old Marcella Clark in the back in the house they shared and hiding her body in the woods during sometime around July 2012. Police found her body in November.

Clark faces life in prison. No sentencing date has been set.

Clark's attorney didn't immediately return a message.
