For the 45th year West Salem kicks off June Dairy days.
The event which celebrates West Salem's agriculture starts Friday with fireworks at the baseball field. It's truly a community event, all the proceeds go back to local non-profit organizations. There is lots to do for both kids and adults including a parade and a carnival.
The president of event, Jon Hetland, says there will music and entertainment all weekend including a special show to recognize our veterans.
"We have a salute to those who have served, honoring the military and that will feature a raptor show, from the Raptor Center in the Twin Cities, and you're going to see owls, hawks and eagles flying around the park," said Hetland.
The annual Dairy Days runs until 6 pm Sunday.
