Items salvaged from UW-L students moving out
UW-La Crosse students are moving out of the dorms for the summer and that means campus dumpsters are filling up. But not everything belongs in the trash.
The Greener Living Committee is teaming up with the Salvation Army to try to save products that can still be used. Things like good furniture, electronics, and clothing are being salvaged and used at the Salvation Army's emergency shelter.
"Our students just sometimes make some decisions like instead of cramming it into a car or making another drive they just throw it away," Hutchinson Hall Director Maryke Taute.
The Salvation Army truck was on the Viterbo campus Thursday and will be back on the UW-L campus next week.
