LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) -

Everyone in La Crosse can be a little bit Irish this weekend.

Irishfest finished setting up the Oktoberfest Grounds Friday morning in time to open in the afternoon.

The weekend will be filled with music, food, and plenty of Irish themed activities to take part in.

One major difference this year is that there is no bierhall. The building was taken down when Xcel Energy cleaned up contaminated soil on the site. But in its place there's a temporary tent.

"We put up a tent that's even bigger than the bierhall at this point, it's the same tent taht we're going to use for Oktoberfest as well, but it's big, it's more spacious, it's a white tent so it's a little more airy than the other building used to be and so on, it looks pretty nice all decorated and ready to go,” said Irishfest President Pat Stephens.

Irishfest runs through Sunday afternoon.
