TIPTON, Iowa (AP) -

A Tipton hunting store owner has pleaded guilty to helping his clients illegally hunt deer.

Cedar Rapids television station KCRG reports that the plea comes months after law enforcement officers flew over Cedar County and spotted people near piles of corn, alfalfa and minerals.

The Department of Natural Resources says Andy Wulf, who owns Whitetail Ridge Outfitter, will pay fines totaling about $400 for his role in aiding three men to illegally hunt deer.

Officers say the case began with a call to the "turn in poachers" hotline in January, which eventually led to the flyover and discovery.
