MADISON, Wis. (AP) -

An Illinois worker injured in an electrical accident has died at a hospital in Wisconsin.

The medical examiner's office in Wisconsin's Dane County says 30-year-old Evan Hopperstad died Tuesday.

Hopperstad was working as a lineman in Illinois' Winnebago County on Monday when he came into contact with charged wires. He was flown to a Dane County hospital but didn't survive. Preliminary autopsy results indicate accidental electrocution.

Hopperstad was from the northern Illinois village of Capron. Local authorities in Illinois and Wisconsin and the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration continue to investigate his death.
