There will be lane closures on both sides of the Dresbach Bridge on I-90 beginning Thursday, May 2, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The construction project was delayed due to the weather from its original lane closure date from early April.
The $187.5 million project includes constructing a new I-90 bridge crossing over the Mississippi River and reconstructing the Highway 61/14 and I-90 interchange, according to transportation officials.
The Mississippi River Trail will also be closed to bicyclists between La Crescent and Dresbach during construction. Bicyclists should follow the Apple Blossom Scenic Byway until the new segments reopen in 2016.
The project is a cooperative effort between the Minnesota and Wisconsin Departments of Transportation and will continue through 2016.
