The building that houses cultural learning and diversity in La Crosse is celebrating a milestone this weekend.

The Hmoob Cultural and Community Agency announced the end of the Sen. Jen Schilling were among the La Crosse residents who celebrated the accomplishment.

Organizers say the building serves as a meeting place for people to learn more about the Hmong culture right here in the heart of the Coulee Region.

"We want to make the Hmong culture as a resource for the community,” said Chong Charlee, co-coordinator of the open house. “We need a place to house that resource so we can expand it and grow and make it available [to city residents]."

Organizers say nearly 400 people joined in on the celebration at the open house.
