The La Crosse Jaycees Toys for Tots drive received a nice boost Tuesday. However, it wasn't the stuffed bears you'd expect to see.

High Roller Skating, with the help of some of the regulars at the rink, put together 523 gift boxes.

Each of them contains about a dozen small knickknacks and $30 worth of skate admissions, rentals, and snacks. "We get a good feeling from it, we get a good sense of community from it. We're hoping that with our donation, every child gets at least one gift and if there's enough donations from the community from Toys for Tots, maybe ours helps the kids in that age range get more than one gift," said High Rollers co-owner Amanda Christianson.

WKBT News 8 is serving as a drop off point for the toy drive. The toys will be picked up Friday, Dec. 6th.

The Jaycees hope to help give 1,300 children a gift on Christmas.
