WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) -

Continued heavy rain has forced some Iowa roads to close because of flooding.

KWWL reports that some of the heaviest rain fell in Grundy County.

So authorities there shut down Highway 14 between Grundy Center and Conrad on Sunday because water covered the road in places.

At least one person became stranded in that area during the storm and had to be rescued.

The National Weather Service issued flash flood warnings for eleven Iowa counties Sunday. Those were Benton, Cedar, Cedar, Iowa, Johnson, Linn, Marshall, Muscatine, Muscatine, Poweshiek and Story counties.

Grundy County officials say more than a dozen roads were closed in the county Sunday.

Some road closures were also reported in Franklin, Black Hawk and Bremer counties.
