Shelves are a little emptier than usual at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
The shop, near La Crosse's downtown, takes donations like furniture, hardware and other things lying around in your garage.
In turn, they sell the products and use the money to build homes for area families in need.
The re-sale shop says it's typical for donations to be down during December and January, partly due to the busy holiday season.
"People want to spend time with their families and shop for family members, so they are doing fewer home construction projects and fewer remodeling," said Steve Baker, Manager of ReStore.
The re-store is always looking for donations, especially cabinets and windows.
