You can see some of the best views of the Black River right along Interstate 90 and a construction project could make them even better.

As part of the I-90 reconstruction that the Wisconsin Department of Transportation has scheduled for this fall, city officials have put in the plans for an eagle watching area near Exit 3.

They say it's necessary for people who want to stop and enjoy the scenery.

"There's a lot of people that are pulling off and it is a safety issue, so while we have that opportunity to address this eagle watching area, it will probably address some of the safety hazards," said District 1 council member Andrea Richmond.

The entire project is scheduled to be finished in 2018.
