A Holmen couple is thankful for their community's support in helping deal with their son's illness.
Holmen High School collected donations at Friday night's boys basketball game to help the Johnson family. Last year, Aaron Johnson, a student at Evergreen Elementary, was digonosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
The road to recovery has been difficult and expensive. The Johnson's say they are grateful for the support. "We all have support networks, so we think, but you pray you never have to test it," says Aaron's father Jacob Johnson, "we've tested ours and we are humbled."
When the time comes for the transplant, Aaron's sister plans to be his donor.
