DNR Biologist: heat, dry conditions will affect bow hunt

Wildlife experts say the heat will impact this weekend's bow deer hunt opener.

The dry conditions mean animals are searching a little harder for food and water. That could mean a tougher time for hunters unless they do your prep work.

"Finding water sources would be key and also pre-scouting really pays dividends to a lot of hunters," said DNR Wildlife Biologist Ron Lichtie.

Lichtie says a positive for this season is the bugs aren't as bad as expected.
