If you got a late start on yard work, there could still be time to get rid of those unwanted leaves.
In La Crosse, city crews are on the south side and will continue to pick up leaves until snow is forecast.
At that point, the trucks will be needed to plow the streets.
Onalaska contracts Harter's Quick clean up to pick up all of the leaves.
City officials say the leaves held on much later than usual and all dropped at the same time. Also, the cold weather has slowed the final pick up pass.
Right now, they're about halfway through the city. "They are proceeding in the Main Street area right now, they will proceed east and and then swing through and catch the south half of the city. They are envisioning it will probably take them until some time next week to finish the last pass," said Onalaska City Engineer Jarrod Holter.
