ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) -

As rummage sale season gets underway, the Coulee Region Humane Society is holding one of its own.

The goal is to raise money for its Spay Neuter Assistance Program, also known as S.N.A.P.

The program gives financial assistance to people who can't afford to have their pets spayed or neutered.

Organizers say the rummage sale wouldn't be possible without the community's support.

"Donations came in from all of our supporters and individuals just brought in, cleaning out their house, and brought in all of their items for us to sell," said the C.R.H.S. Exec. Dir. Heather Hankins.

If you missed Friday's sale, there is another one Saturday, May 17th at 8 a.m. -  5:00 p.m. at the humane society in Onalaska.
